Snapshot of Europe 2011

Colegio P. Andrés de Urdaneta Ikastetxea (or Colegio Urdaneta) was founded in 1970. It belongs to the Augustinians catholic educators with rich heritage of traditions and experience.
It’s located in a small town called Loiu (Lujua in Spanish), close to Bilbao, the largest city in the Basque Country in northern Spain.
Students can study in two ways: either half of the subjects in Basque and the other half in Spanish, or they choose to have all subjects in Spanish and the Basque language only as a subject.

Here are the winners in each category:
People:
In 2nd = we have Belgium 2, France and Turkey
and in 1st position, it's THE BASQUE COUNTRY!

Places:
In 2nd= position we have Turkey, Denmark 1 and The Czech Republic
and in 1st postion, it's MALTA 2!

Nature:
In 3rd = position, we have Latvia and Portugal
in 2nd position it's Austria
and in 1st position, it's SCOTLAND!

Sport:
In 2nd= position, we have Malta 1 and Poland
and in 1st position, it's LATVIA!

Announcing the winners...

Many thanks to all of you who have already sent in your votes to me for the winning photos.

If you still have to send me your votes, remember that I need them all by tomorrow evening- no later than 9pm UK time, please. If you send them later than this, they will not be included in the final count.

On Wednesday, 1st June, my pupils will record a short video in the morning, announcing the top 3 in each category. I hope to post this to the blog at around 11.30am UK time.

Tyssedal Primary School has 73 pupils from 1st-7th. grade. The day care center has about 23 children from 1st-4th. grade. It is open before school from 06.45 till 08.30, and after school till 16.00.

The base is in one part of the school, and has a pre-primary school teacher as leader, and 3 assistents in part time job.Tyssedal is a small village near Odda in the west of Norway - well known for fjords, glaciers and waterfalls. Our area is most famous as "a catalysator to our industrial period early 1900".
